Green Banana Ceviche
A great vegan recipe that treats unripe grocery store bananas like a savory vegetable. This is a great go-to when you don't have seafood on hand, or don't prefer the taste of fish.
🌿 Ingredients
- 6 green bananas (regular grocery store is perfect)
- 3/4 cup fresh lime juice (~10 limes)
- 1 medium red onion, diced
- 1 ripe red tomato, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tbsp salt (to taste)
- 1tbsp sugar (to taste)
- 1 jalapeño, diced (optional)
- splash of orange juice (optional, adds a bit of sweetness)

Peel bananas, put in medium-sized pan, and cover with lightly salted water
